Home healthcare covers a wide range of services delivered in the
home of a client who is elderly, recovering from a medical condition,
disabled, chronically ill or simply in need of assistance with
the activities of daily living. Our services include skilled aides
and companion services, nursing, specialized care for individuals
with conditions such as Alzheimer’s Disease or diabetes and relief
programs for caregivers. We provide our services to individuals
on a long or short-term basis.
Private duty home care refers to those services that are not covered
under Medicare Home Health, but that are essential to individuals
with functional limitations. This is especially important for
chronic care needs that are not covered under Medicare. Private
duty care is often covered by long term care insurance policies.
Home healthcare services include:
- Assistance with meal preparation,
shopping, bathing and dressing
- Medication management
and supervision
- Light housekeeping
- Transportation to appointments
- Specialized care addressing disabilities &
limitations from medical conditions
- Hourly and live-in nursing assistants
- Assistance with specific healthcare needs
- Providing time off for the primary
family caregiver
